In 2008 I was selected as the artist for the Essex "Big Draw" commission.  This formed part of the Essex/Jiangsu Festival.  I worked with 3 Essex museums: Harlow, Saffron Walden and Braintree.  At each I held workshops with local people aged between 3 and 93, each producing a "Chinese Mandala", based on the Chinese calendar, symbols and patterns. Later I incorporated these into a series of wooden circular discs, linked together into 3 sets of 6ft tall hanging artworks, installed in each of the 3 museums.
