This film by Steve Downey describes an initiative by the the National Centre for Writing in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University. In 2021 writers aged over 70 years of age were invited to attend a 6 week life writing programme relating to their own experiences. Nine writers completed the programme and submitted work to an Anthology, published in February 2022. The writers involved are Steve Downey, Hilary Lepine, Jim Lynch, Isobel O'Connor, Sean Perry, Caroline Richardson, Pete Smith, Leah Spencer and David Walker. The main tutor was Sarah Passingham. Kate Swindlehurst acted as advisory editor to the writers and the project was organised by Hannah Garrard. A further project is planned later in 2022.
